This Privacy Policy describes how Fota collects, uses, and shares data about you through our mobile app and website (collectively referred to as the "Services" ). The terms "Fota" and "we" refer to the Fota Group, a New Jersey LLC.

By using our Services, you agree to the terms set forth in this Privacy Policy.

1. Collecting and Using Your Information

Account Information: If you make an account on Fota, we may store any of the information that you provide, including your full name and email. Your first name and last initial may be publicly displayed on the Services.

Public Information: All the information you contribute while using the Services, including your uploaded photos, restaurant ratings, and restaurant reviews, may be displayed publicly on the Services. This information may also be shared with businesses and other third parties.

Location Information: We may receive and store information about your location. We may also determine your location by using data on your device, such as GPS information, wireless network information, and your IP address.

Contacts Information: We may include features in the Services that allow you to invite friends through accessing your contacts. If you grant us access to your contacts, we may use that information in order to process your invites.

Communications: By signing up for a Fota account, you are choosing to receive occasional messages from Fota, including through the mobile app and via email. You may choose to opt out of some of these communications, but you will not be able to opt out of some administrative and legal communications as long as you hold an active account.

Activity : We may store information about your activity on the app, including information on when you use the app, which photos you interact with on the app, which photos you upvote, and your interaction with the restaurant pages, as well as your location data during use. We may store this information even if you do not have an account with Fota.

2. Sharing Your Information

Public Information: We may share or disclose any of the public information you provide on the Services with third parties, including your uploaded photos, restaurant ratings, and restaurant reviews.

Aggregate Information: We may share aggregate data with third parties, such as advertisers. Aggregate data can include total views and clicks on advertisements.

Businesses on Fota: We may share your activity data with businesses on Fota, including total views and clicks on photos and restaurant pages.

Investigations and the Law: We may retain or disclose your information if we believe that it is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, or governmental request. We may also retain or disclose your information if we believe it is helpful to protecting our rights, reputation, and property.

Third Party Accounts: If you choose to sign in to Fota with a platform such as Facebook, we may receive information about you from that third party platform.

Future Transfers: If Fota is ever involved an a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets in the future, we may transfer or sell your information as part of that trasnfer. This Privacy Policy will continue to apply to your information in the new entity.

3. Deleting Your Information

You may choose to delete your public information and account information by permanently terminating your account through the Services. If you do so, we will remove your information and delete it from our database within 30 days.

4. Miscellaneous

Children: Our Services are designed to be used by users over the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect data on children under the age of 13. If we become aware that one of our users is under the age of 13, we proceed to remove that information and delete the account.

Security: We store all of our user data on a secure database. However, as there are no 100% secure methods of electronic storage or Internet transmission, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information.

Changes to the Policy: We may make changes to this Privacy Policy if necessary. If there are any material changes, these will be made known to you through the Services or via email. If you access the Services after our notification of the change, you are agreeing to the new Privacy Policy.
